Evidence needs labels.

See how GoutSense separates established guidance, emerging research, uncertainty and anecdote.

01Strong evidence is not the same as certainty for every individual.
02Limited evidence means exactly that — not “proved false”.
03Commercial relationships are kept separate from evidence judgements.

The detail

Go deeper when you need to.

A laboratory trial, a small observational study and a clinical guideline do not deserve the same visual weight. The GoutSense Evidence Scale makes that difference obvious.

Strong

Supported by robust clinical evidence and/or established evidence-based guidance relevant to the claim.

Moderate

Useful human evidence exists, but there are meaningful limitations, uncertainty or inconsistency.

Limited

Some relevant evidence exists, but it is too limited to support confident conclusions.

Very limited

Evidence may be preliminary, indirect, laboratory/animal based or otherwise insufficient for the claimed effect in people.

Evidence rating ≠ product rating.

A commercial relationship never upgrades an evidence assessment, and an evidence label is not a recommendation for an individual reader.

GoutSense keeps information and medical advice separate.Use these guides to understand the subject and organise questions. Diagnosis and treatment decisions belong with a qualified healthcare professional.
